sage of monticello - (vanilla, key-lime sugar cookie)
thomas jefferson - referred to as the "sage of monticello" for his wisdom, intellect, and self designed mansion, appropriately named monticello, was a man of many great feats, and accomplishments. That goes without saying. A simple, lesser-known joy of his, was to indulge in a local bakery's key-lime sugar cookies. Through the strenuous hours spent revising the declaration of independence, tom was said to have bought out the entire store! this delicious sugar cookie, with a dash of vanilla, and key-lime, was a treat he enjoyed well into his later years. Nibbling away, while reminiscing of the revolution against the red coats.
